 "Hi Vicky--
If you ever need a testimonial for Absolute Entertainment, we'd be happy to provide one! I didn't really appreciate how wonderful the string quartet was during the ceremony until I watched a video of it. The mariachis were fabulous, too, and handled the timing so graciously, playing outside the Chapel during photos, during the procession (a real highlight for everyone attending!!),on the Terrace. But, of course, the best was last!! SOULSTICE was terrific and your ways of engaging the crowd were fabulous, fun, and effective! Ive been to too many weddings where the dancing fell flat. The "Stay Together" song was great and got things off to a perfect start. We attend a wide variety of musical performances here in South Bend and my husband said Soulstice was the best band he'd heard in a LONG time--and I couldn't agree more. Many thanks for making a very happy occasion even more memorable!"

Dear Vicky,

Thank you for all you did to make Amanda and Bart's reception and dinner a success.  Soulstice was wonderful.  Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the music, and your personality was perfect.  Earl and I felt confident with you there to help us through the reception and meal.  If you looked around toward the end, people were sitting there singing along with the band.  We would recommend you to anyone.

Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Earl and Sue Hudgins

WEDDING At BISHOPS LODGE

"I haven't had a minute to call you and let you know how much everyone loved the band and the party!!  People raved!  One friend said if they could afford to fly you to Portland for their daughter's wedding next year they would, and everyone we talked to during the evening said the music was wonderful and they thought you were the most talented MC they'd ever heard!  One of our guests said she hadn't seen her husband dance in twenty years but there he was, out there, dancing his heart out.  The band gave the party a luxurious feel.

So thanks for everything. Doris L. "

SOULSTICE was recently voted "Finest Musical Entertainment For Weddings And Events" 2009 by the readers of New Mexico Event And Planner magazine. There was an award event on July 16th at Albuquerque's beautiful Balloon Museum. New Mexico Event And Planner Magazine is for Event and Wedding professionals in New Mexico and the band members of Soulstice were particularly honored to have been recognized by such a savvy and well informed group who get to see all of New Mexico's musical talent in action. Vicky and Chris Speer, Soulstice's founders, commented, " We are very fortunate to be able to continue to what we love: playing music and creating wonderful celebrations for our clients. Seeing people dancing and having the best time is something that never gets old. To be recognized like this means the word about Soulstice is out! Thank you very much to everyone who voted for us."

Seems like everyone is impressed with names they have heard of - so we thought we'd drop a few... Here are some folks that Soulstice has played for or with... Soulstice played for N.M. State dinner, In the audience were: TV newsman SAM DONALDSON; prominent businessman and  now the the richest man in the world, CARLOS SLIM HELU; country recording star RANDY TRAVIS; Also the GOVERNOR of Arizona and MAYORS of El Paso, Albuquerque & Santa Fe. Soulstice was filmed as part of an NBC TOM BROKAW special segment for Dateline while performing at the WEINSTEIN family wedding at the Hyatt Tamaya. HARVEY and BOB WEINSTEIN are film producers, previously of MIRAMAX Film Studios, now heading the WEINSTEIN COMPANY.

Soulstice was most pleased to receive a compliment from film legend, Academy award winner, SHIRLEY MacCLAINE on their music and on lead singer Vicky Speer's vocals during the band's performance at St. Vincent's last Fundraising Gala. The band are big fans of Ms. McClaine's work. Georgia rockers “ COLLECTIVE SOUL” co - producer, songwriter and brilliant guitarist DEXTER GREEN was a guest at another Soulstice event. Friends prompted him to sit in with the band and Dexter played some brilliant guitar. Afterwards he paid tribute to Soulstice's musicianship. At a wedding for Washington diplomats Ed and Maria, the HUNGARIAN AMBASSADOR to the U.S. and musician ANDRAS SIMONYI sat in with the band and rocked out some songs to the delight of the audience. At a wedding for Abbi & David, prolific Film & TV composer, arranger and musical director BRUCE MILLER, composer of many TV theme songs including "Frasier" & music director on shows with Aretha Franklin & Smoky Robinson, played a piece on keys with the band and had a great time. Bruce was very complementary of Soulstice. Another event Soulstice played at had ex “10CC” band member and music video director LOL CREME in the audience. Soulstice performed one of his hits " I’m not in love “ for Lol and guests. Lol told the band he loved the performance.
