SOULSTICE SANTA FE: Recommendations

In Texas, we are fond of saying:  “The Bigger, The Better”! & “ Everything is Bigger in Texas”!  We are going to make an exception to this statement.  When in Santa Fe..NOTHING IS BIGGER, BADDER, BOSSER  THAN ….SOULSTICE !!!!!!

 

From the moment of leaving the ceremony @ the Loretto Chapel to entering the reception, the party was on!!!!! With Vicky as the Ringleader, Chris & Band as “the Pips”, how could you not have the most memorable evening and wedding of a lifetime??

 

Who else could pull off playing:  “ Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens”? to sweet love songs, and sassy Latin music, incorporating all different music requests and tastes?

 

Vicky, your flair and inimitable style set the tone for an evening of fun, laughter, & dancing ….    Did I mention???? DANCING!!!!

 

We are still grinning and laughing, replaying the events of the evening.  The New York clan & Texas gang  all exclaimed (in different accents!):  “This was the greatest, most fun wedding ever!”

 

Thank ya’ll  (Texas speak) for making, my daughter, Michael’s  & Nick’s wedding day one of the most memorable of their lives.

PERFECT!!!  … was the word we heard most often during the reception.

And it was.

From the introduction of the newlyweds to their grand exit you kept the reception active, interesting and fun.

 

As parents of the bride and hosts we most appreciated your awareness and ability to play music from the various regions and cultures represented in the wedding party. All the musical preferences were covered and everyone was able to dance to one of their favorites.

 

The creative ways you engaged the room and encouraged everyone to participate - very entertaining – so many personalities on display and many wonderful memories.

We are still laughing at some of the unexpected events and responses from our guests…

 

Overheard a guest observe… “Too much fun! The best wedding I have ever attended!”

We agree – a very memorable reception.

We will relive and laugh with our family and friends for years to come.

You know, as Ron and I are from Canada and were not terribly familiar with Santa Fe, you took the time to understand what it was that we wanted to accomplish in providing the flavour of Santa Fe to our Canadian and American guests.

As most of our guests had never been to Santa Fe before, you recommended and organized entertainment that simply blew our visitors away!

The Flamenco guitarist, Flamenco dancer and Flamenco lessons on our Friday Night Welcome Dinner was really spectacular! On our wedding day, the guitarists during our ceremony......followed by the "Mariachi surprise" after the ceremony.. ..was perfectly timed and spectacular!

Your band Soulstice,  including the type of music we most appreciate.... while still taking the lead from our guests...was exceptional. Your wonderful musicians and the two lead singers (including yourself) were simply outstanding!

Vicky, you really knew how to work the crowd ! Your experience as an MC and the leader of your group really shone. Your attention to detail... running through the entire events of the evenings with us, while keeping in mind the menus....provided flawless and memorable evenings.

Vicky, you orchestrated every event to make sure that the flow and transitions of entertainers was perfect! While you did ask the right questions of us to begin with, we really had to trust your judgement.....and we are so happy that we did! The results of your hard work and experience have left a lasting impression on Ron and I ....and certainly on all of our guests.

SOULSTICE PLAYS FOR THE GOVERNOR

Governor's Mansion Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson, personally requested that Soulstice play at a dinner held at the Governor's Mansion on Dec 10th and the band was happy to do so. The event was a dinner for about 180 people who included: businessman Carlos Slim Helu - 3rd wealthiest man in the world, TV newsman Sam Donaldson, Country singer Randy Travis, and several prominent politicians including the Governor of Arizona and Mayors of El Paso, Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Soulstice was well received. The dinner marked the beginning of a three day Conference.

FESTIVE HOLIDAY PARTY!

Private Residence Soulstice was pleased to play for a second year at businessman Peter N 's wonderfully festive holiday party at his Tesuque home on Dec 2nd. So many people attended this year that a tent was added. Soulstice played for 5 hours until the dancers finally had enough! N.M. Governor Bill Richardson enjoyed the band. The party was a festive and generous start to the holiday season, thanks Peter! P.S. Soulstice was pleased to be rebooked for next year's Christmas party the following day.

SOULSTICE FILMED FOR TV SHOW Inn at Loretto

SOULSTICE was chosen to be filmed  for a program on the STYLE CHANNEL TV show about Destination Weddings, " Married Away". The episode features locations at the Loretto Chapel and The Inn and Spa at Loretto. This makes the second time SOULSTICE has been filmed for a TV show. The first was a wedding last year for film producer Harvey Weinstein's family for a Tom Brokaw segment on DATELINE NBC which was filmed at the Tamaya Hotel in Bernalillo.
